Red Wine Braised Short Ribs and Smashed Potatoes Recipe

LOW/4 hrs on HIGH


1 medium onion, sliced

3-4 pounds beef short ribs

1 package Crock-Pot® Savory Pot Roast Seasoning Mix

1 cup red wine

1/2 cup ketchup

1 pound small red potatoes

3 tablespoons butter

Salt and pepper to taste

Place onions in bottom of slow cooker and add short ribs.

Combine seasoning mix, wine, and ketchup. Pour over short ribs.

Arrange potatoes on top of ribs.

Cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours.

Remove potatoes and place in large mixing bowl.

Add butter and mash with potato masher or fork.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Remove excess fat from sauce by pouring into a fat separator or skimming from surface using large spoon. Serve ribs and sauce over smashed potatoes.
